It is the mission of the Lexington Chapter of Ducks Unlimited to conserve, restore, and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl in Lexington County. These habitats also benefit other wildlife and people.

The Lexington Chapter of South Carolina Ducks Unlimited (lexscdu) is dedicated to sponsoring the finest social events for the businesses and citizens of Lexington.  These events raise money to protect wildlife habitat all over the United States, Canada and Mexico.  Since 1989, Ducks Unlimited has spent $1.6 million to preserve over 114,000 acres of habitat here in South Carolina.

With over 140 sponsors and close to 800 members, lexscdu is one of the largest chapters in South Carolina, and has been the number one chapter in the state since 2003.  In 2005 the chapter ranked 21st of 3500 chapters nationally.
